Sean Vegezzi has been exploring the subways of New York since he was 12
years old, and has walked every line there is. He's only 21 years old, but his work already shows intellect and great talent. His photography documents explorations of a world of abandoned subway lines, hidden under Manhattan. The feeling that the subjects want to escape the city is strong and emotive. It's hard to tell if they are rejecting the city in which they live or trying to embrace a lost part of it, but there is definitely a sense of freedom in their actions. A rejection of culture and rules... outside the box thinking. I fear the world would be a very different place if people never questioned their surroundings, or the things they are told.
